Quebec issued more than $28 million in fines during lockdown

During the lockdown in Quebec, Canada, fines were in excess of more than $28 million for breaking the Public Health Act. These fines included breaking the provincial curfew, illegal gatherings in homes, non-compliance with masking at protests, as well as other non-compliance related to public health measures.
