On Wednesday, November 23, 2022, the Ukraine grid operator Ukrenergo said emergency power cuts were being enacted for all of Ukraine after widespread attacks on infrastructure from Russia.
In a statement posted to Facebook, Ukrenergo said “Emergency outages are happening in all regions.”
Adding that “This is a necessary step to protect the power grid from additional technological accidents and maintain the power system operation.”
The grid operator ended the statement by saying “Terrorists can take away our light for a while, but they can’t break our endurance and courage. Let’s take care of each other and believe in zsu!”
In an earlier statement on Facebook, Ukrenergo stated that there would be “scheduled blackouts” all across Ukraine
