BREAKING: Protestors storm U.S. Capitol, halt certification of election results

Tens of thousands of Trump supporters gathered today in Washington, D.C. to show their support for the President and their opposition to the certification of the contested election results.

President Trump spoke to his supporters around noon E.T., and shortly thereafter, supporters moved onto Capitol Hill and entered the building. 

The certification session was halted and Vice-President Mike Pence had to be escorted out of the Capitol after the VP released a message saying he would not oppose the certification of the contested results. 

A journalist entered House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office.

President Trump called for his supporters to remain peaceful.
