Democratic Senator Mazie Hirono asks Supreme Court Nominee Amy Coney Barrett if she’s ever committed sexual assault

During the second day of confirmation hearings for the U.S. Supreme Court seat vacancy by the Senate Judiciary Committee, the Senator from Hawaii asked Judge Barrett if she has "ever made unwanted requests for sexual favors or committed any verbal or physical harassment or assault of a sexual nature?"

On Tuesday, during the second day of confirmation hearings for U.S. Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett, Senator from Hawaii Mazie Hirono asked Judge Barrett if in her adult life she has ever made unwanted sexual advances or sexually assault someone before. 

The hearings to fill the Supreme Court seat will last four days and will be held by the Senate Judiciary Committee. Hearings begin each day at 9 a.m. EST.
