In a Tweet, Elon Musk said he would make an alternative phone if app stores decided to ban Twitter.

Elon Musk responded to a Tweet from Liz Wheeler that argued Musk should “produce his own smartphone” if “Apple & Google boot Twitter from their app stores”.

Wheeler states that “Half the country would happily ditch the biased, snooping iPhone & Android. The man builds rockets to Mars, a silly little smartphone should be easy, right?”

I certainly hope it does not come to that, but, yes, if there is no other choice, I will make an alternative phone

In response, Elon Musk said he hopes it would not come to that but “yes, if there is no other choice, I will make an alternative phone”.

In another Tweet, Elon Musk said “I think I see a path to Twitter exceeding a billion monthly users in 12 to 18 months”.
