The response was to a Twitter user that Tweeted, “Raise your hand if you think @ElonMusk should make public all internal discussions about the decision to censor the @NYPost’s story on Hunter Biden’s laptop before the 2020 Election in the interest of Transparency.”
In response, Elon Musk said, “This is necessary to restore public trust”.
Prior to the 2020 Presidential election, Twitter along with other major social media networks halted and blocked the New York Post’s story about the contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop.
At the time, media outlets and social media giants blocked the transmission of the story under the guise of ‘disinformation’.
However, just days ago, CBS News, that once dismissed the laptop story as misinformation, reported about the Hunter Biden laptop being real and verified.

In response to CBS News confirming the laptop two years later, some users slammed the media outlet stating “You have got to be kidding. CBS News is reporting on the Hunter Biden laptop like it’s breaking news two and a half years later. These people are shameless clowns.”
