On Tuesday, December 20, Elon Musk tweeted that the U.S. government “paid Twitter millions of dollars to censor info from the public” in reply to another “Twitter Files” drop.

In a follow-up tweet, Musk also called out Representative Adam Schiff saying, “As (outgoing) Chair of House Intelligence, did you approve hidden state censorship in direct violation of the Constitution of the United States @RepAdamSchiff?”

Musk’s tweet is in reference to a recent ‘Twitter Files’ drop which shows “How the FBI & intelligence community discredited factual information about Hunter Biden’s foreign business dealings both after and *before* The New York Post revealed the contents of his laptop on October 14, 2020”.

In the drop, an email uncovered exposed that the FBI had been “paying Twitter millions of dollars for its staff time.” to the tune of $3.415 million at the time.

In response to the long thread, Elon Musk also tweeted that the information drop was “extremely problematic”.
