In a reply to a story out of Reuters alleging that Twitter is “not safer under Elon Musk”, according to the former head of trust and safety, Elon Musk exposed that Twitter “has interfered in elections” in the past.

In response, Elon Musk said, “The obvious reality, as long-time users know, is that Twitter has failed in trust & safety for a very long time and has interfered in elections.”

Adding that “Twitter 2.0 will be far more effective, transparent and even-handed.”

Previously, Elon Musk said it would be “necessary to restore public trust” to make public internal Twitter discussions around the blocking of the Hunter Biden laptop story in 2020.
