Journalist David Faber at CNBC has reported that Elon Musk is set to be the CEO of Twittertemporarily after the $44 billion deal goes through.

The current CEO of Twitter Parag Agrawal reportedly told Twitter employees that Twitter’s future is uncertain due to the takeover.

Agrawal said, “Once the deal closes, we don’t know which direction the platform will go,”.

However, there are some indications that Musk has major plans to revamp the social media platform and lay off staff.

During presentations with potential investors in the deal, Elon Musk reportedly said that Twitter’s earnings are too low and the company has “too many engineers not doing enough,”.

Musk also reportedly said that he wants the platform to be a “magnet for talent,”.
