In a statement, Jason Kenney said “I have resigned as Member of the Legislative Assembly for Calgary-Lougheed.”
He said he’d like to thank his “constituents for the honour of representing them in Parliament and the Legislature over the past 25 years.”

In his statement, Kenney said that he is resigning immediately as the MLA for Calgary Lougheed.
Adding that “it has been a great privilege for me to represent the constituents of Calgary Lougheed since 2017.”
Jason Kenney was the premier of Alberta from 2019 until 2022 and became the leader of the United Conservative Party in 2017.
