France | Protests erupt nationwide against domestic vaccine passport in 9th consecutive weekend

For the last nine weekends, people from all across France have been protesting in the streets against the Macron government’s domestic vaccine pass that prevents the unvaccinated from engaging in most activities in France like restaurants, bars, trains, planes, museums, and cinemas.

Prior to the protest on Saturday, September 11, a large police presence was seen all over Paris.

In France and other places across France, large crowds gathered in disagreement with the government’s decision to keep the domestic vaccine pass in the country. 

During the protest in Paris, large amounts of teargas and pepper spray were deployed by the police against protesters. 

During the day in Paris, tensions were high between the police and protesters.

At points during the protest, police were seen bloodying protesters.

Protests in Paris continued through the night.
