On Thursday, after securing a slim majority inthe House of Representatives, House Republicans announced they intend to investigate Joe Biden’s possible involvement in his son Hunter’s business dealings in foreign countries while Vice President during the Obama administration.
Representative James Comer for Kentucky District 1, the incoming Oversight Committee chairman, said that it is a Republican priority to launch an investigation into Hunter Biden and other Biden family members and associates to look at whether their business dealings “compromise U.S. national security and President Biden’s ability to lead with impartiality.”
Rep.Comer said “As part of our investigation, we have evidence that the finances, credit cards, and bank accounts of Hunter and Joe Biden were co-mingled, if not shared. And on some accounts at least, red flags were raised by banks to the account owner or owners indicating suspicious or illegal activity,”.
Comer said of the investigation that they will be seeking to determine: “Was Joe Biden directly involved with Hunter Biden’s business deals, and is he compromised? That’s our investigation,”.

Comer alleges that the Biden family “flourished and became millionaires by simply offering access to the family,”.
Additionally, House Republicans released a report entitled “A President Compromised: The Biden Family Investigation” outlining “evidence demonstrating deliberate, repeated deception of the American people, abuse of the Executive Branch for personal gain, use of government power to obstruct the investigation and prevent transparency, and potential violations of the United States Constitution’s Foreign Emoluments Clause” by Joe Biden.
The report alleges that “The President’s personal participation in his family’s global business ventures—committed through and by a complex network of relatives and associates to enrich the Biden family—has exposed the United States to national security risks that could be leveraged by our enemies to undermine the Office of the President.”
