On Twitter, Jack Dorsey responded by stating he agrees with Elon Musk and that “permanent bans are a failure of ours and don’t work,”.

When further questioned about the circumstances of Trump’s permanent Twitter ban by Axios journalist Dan Primack, Dorsey responded stating that “it was a business decision, it shouldn’t have been. and we should always revisit our decisions and evolve as necessary. I stated in that thread and still believe that permanent bans of individuals are directionally wrong.”

In another thread, Dorsey said he agreed with a user that stated: “Trump is terrible, but content-moderation policy isn’t going to save our democracy. Asking a handful of social media companies to expand the role they already play as gatekeepers to political discourse is short-sighted.”

On Twitter, Elon Musk implored people to listen to his entire comments on the situation.
