JP Morgan’s actions come amidst a broader effort to cancel the musician and fashion designer after he criticized left-wing orthodoxy and wore a “white lives matter” t-shirt.

Twitter, Instagram and Facebook have restricted Kanye’s account after he used his platforms to settle personal and professional disputes.

“We are sending this letter to confirm our recent discussion […] that JPMorgan Chase Bank […] has decided to end its banking relation with Yeezy, LLC and its affiliated entities”, a letter sent to West reads.

“To provide the Company with sufficient time to transition to another financial institution, we will continue to maintain the accounts […] until November 21, 2022”.

“We ask that you act promptly transfer [sic] your business to another financial institution before November 21, 2022”.

Users online heavily criticized the bank’s decision, saying business banking should not be subject to the political whims of media personalities.
