Two senior government sources are telling the media that Justin Trudeau has agreed to allow a cabinet order to expire that mandated COVID-19 vaccination requirements at the Canadian border.

The order is set to expire on September 30, 2022.

However, the media is also reporting that it has not yet been decided if the mask mandate on Canadian-bound flights and trains will stay in place.

On Friday, September 16, the Toronto Star was the first to report that the Canadian federal government was considering removing the vaccine mandate for travelers entering the country.

More details to come.
