According to AAA, the average price of gas is the highest it has ever recorded to have been in history at $4.404 per gallon.

Over the last week, every single day has set a record high for the price at the pump.

Just last week, the average price per gallon of gas for a U.S. consumer was $4.226, which is almost 20 cents lower than the current average.

For the last several months, consumers have been facing rising energy prices and gas prices at the pump.

A year ago, the average price per gallon of gas was a whopping $2.985.

The Westcoast of the United States is experiencing some of the highest gas prices in the country.

Analysts at Gas Buddy are forecasting that in August, consumers could potentially see average gas prices of $4.62/gal.

According to the forecast, gas prices are not expected to level down to where they were a year ago when the average price was $2.985.
