In another massive win for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, he carried Miami-Dade County by a whopping 11 points.
During his victory speech, DeSantis said “We have embraced freedom. We have maintained law and order. We have protected the rights of parents. We have respected our taxpayers, and we reject woke ideology… We will never ever surrender to the woke mob. Florida is where woke goes to die!”
DeSantis also discussed how Florida “chose facts over fear” and that the state stood as a “ditadel of freedom for people across this country and across the world.”
In his concluding messages, DeSantis said “I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race in this first term and I have kept the faith. We have accomplished more than anybody thought possible four years ago. But we’ve got so much more to do. And I have only begun to fight.”
In response to his re-election, Arizona Governor candidate Kari Lake said “You have set the standard for conservative leadership at the state level nationwide.”
