On the day of the U.S. Election, multiple users across Twitter have been reporting that accounts discussing election-related issues have been censored and suspended on the social media site.

The owner of the account made a statement about the situation:

Some accounts have not been outright suspended but are being severely censored by the social media giant disallowing users to share, reply, and like certain tweets.

Others on the platform are tweeting that potentially illegal campaign literature is being handed out in poll lines.
